Whether you are shooting for the stars literally, or figuratively, let us help you protect your intellectual property

Services

Outer Space IP is a patent writing firm started with the intent to help people protect their intellectual property while they shoot for the stars, whether that is literal or figurative.

As inventors ourselves, we understand the need to protect new inventions.

Let us help you, without breaking the bank.

We offer services to write utility and design patents, provisional patents, and office actions. We also offer drafting services for the drawings used in the patents.

Below you will find some of the industries we have written patents for in the past.

Meet the Team

Nathan and Seth have been working together in outer space research and patent prosecution since 2017. The Outer Space IP team has their own research filed in patent applications, including a lunar ore-reduction and metals separation process, an orbital hydrazine synthesis process, a lunar power distribution system, and other concepts.

Patent Agent

Nathan

Nathan is a patent agent, chemist, chemical engineer, and systems specialist, with bachelor's and master's degrees in chemistry, a master's degree in chemical engineering, and a master's degree in space resources. Besides his half-decade in patent drafting and prosecution, he has worked in field engineering in mining, mineral processing, oil & gas, cryogenics, and practical applications in space resources. This includes large-scale industrial project management; chemical & metallurgical process design; electrical, instrumentation & controls selection, installation, and programming; numerical simulation, first-principles models, and artificial intelligence implementation; and pilot-scale mineral processing equipment design, construction, operation, and maintenance.

His work has been focused on bringing practicality and function to complex systems. He was principal investigator on a NASA funded SBIR in 2016 focused on processing of methane into ethylene for use in plastics production for space missions. NASA awarded his team funding for the 2021 Big Idea Challenge for lunar landing dust mitigation.
